Set up the funnel
Creating a marketing funnel not only attracts a large enough number of leads to sustain and grow your business, but also qualifies the leads so you can make the best use of your time.
Here are some tips anyone can use to create a lead-generating marketing funnel quickly:
- Bring your existing website into current time. If it’s been around two years or longer, it’s time to do an update. This does not have to be time consuming or expensive! Check to make sure your offerings are up to date with any staff changes, etc. Slight tweaks or additional information to existing pages may be all that’s needed.
- Have a way to capture contact information so you can keep in touch. You need an opt-in box and a way you can email prospects directly on your website. Keep it simple and ask only for name and email address.
- Create an enticing giveaway, which you offer for free, that makes visitors drool and feel as if they have to have it. This enticement also must let the reader know what you do, how you help them and have a point of view. It’s important that prospects know who you are and what you stand for, so you can weed out the folks who aren’t a good fit and keep the conversation going with the ones that are.
- Automate the conversation. Deliver the enticing giveaway and then offer more. Perhaps a free initial consultation. After a week or so, offer another enticing giveaway that has a little more depth. In this offer you’ll ask for a phone number and address before delivery.
- Start advertising and driving people to your website. You don’t need to spend much money on this if you’ve followed the steps above
This lead-generating process is automated, it’s touch-free, and it is sure to bring hundreds of conversations to your door quickly and inexpensively.
